What Youll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting engineering change requests and managing Change Orders
- Assisting with design and manufacturing improvements
- Creating and maintaining production work instructions and test procedures
- Reviewing technical drawings and documentation for manufacturability
- Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues
- Supporting prototype-to-production transitions (drawings BOMs tooling)
- Contributing to safety improvements and LEAN initiatives
- Delivering training materials to ensure team readiness
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Design & Drafting knowledge preferred)
- 14 years of experience in a design or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in MS Office and 3D modelling software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Strong communication organization and critical thinking skills
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn
Bonus if you have:
- Eligibility for ASET (C.E.T.) or APEGA (E.I.T.)
- Experience with GD&T technical writing or project/configuration management
- Familiarity with MS Project Online
Security & Safety Requirements
- Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
- Eligible for Canadian Class 2 Security Clearance including background check
- Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive environment (production floor testing deployments)
- Able to lift up to 23 lbs and occasionally travel off-site
