Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer - HVAC to join our design team in Amman Jordan. As a key member of our engineering leadership you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of complex HVAC systems for large-scale projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of HVAC design engineers providing technical guidance and ensuring project success
- Develop and review detailed HVAC system designs for commercial industrial and institutional buildings
- Utilize advanced energy modeling and simulation tools to optimize HVAC system performance and energy efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects structural engineers and electrical engineers
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes standards and regulations
- Drive innovation in HVAC design incorporating cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices
- Manage client relationships and communicate complex technical information to stakeholders
- Oversee quality control processes and conduct design reviews to maintain high standards of excellence
- Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal preparation and client presentations
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required
- LEED AP certification preferred
- 10 years of experience in HVAC system design with a proven track record of successful large-scale projects
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Advanced proficiency in HVAC design software including Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools
- Expert knowledge of energy modeling and simulation software
- Strong skills in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Proficiency in project management software and methodologies
- In-depth understanding of building codes energy efficiency standards and sustainability practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Commitment to staying current with HVAC industry trends and innovations
