The Year 5 Teacher role
This Year 5 Teacher will design ambitious knowledge-rich sequences in maths and English lead topic work that links subjects and run targeted interventions. The Year 5 Teacher will use data to personalise learning work with teaching assistants and lead enrichment projects. From pre-term meetings before January 2026 to full teaching from January 2026 the Year 5 Teacher will be supported by a collaborative leadership team and receive regular CPD.
Responsibilities for the Year 5 Teacher
Plan sequenced lessons that develop fluency reasoning and vocabulary as the Year 5 Teacher.
Run small-group interventions and enrichment clubs as the Year 5 Teacher.
Communicate with families lead termly reports and attend parents evenings as the Year 5 Teacher.

We are seeking a Year 5 Teacher with QTS excellent classroom practice and the ambition to develop within a strong KS2 phase. The Year 5 Teacher should be available for pre-term planning induction and to teach as a Full-Time Year 5 Teacher from January 2026.
