About the School
A leading co-educational independent day and boarding school in Somerset is seeking an inspirational Science Teacher to join their thriving Science Department from January 2026. The school educates approximately 950 pupils aged 1118 including a Sixth Form of 250 and has a long tradition of academic excellence balanced with pastoral care and enrichment. Science is one of the schools flagship departments with over 70% of Sixth Form students opting for at least one science at A-Level and a strong record of university progression to Oxbridge Imperial and top Russell Group institutions.
About the Role
This is a full-time permanent post offering the opportunity to teach Science across KS3KS5 with the option to specialise in Biology Chemistry or Physics. The department encourages curiosity experimentation and independent thought through an inquiry-based curriculum. Lessons are supported by highly qualified technicians and a modern science block equipped with eight laboratories fume cupboards and digital data-loggers.
The successful teacher will contribute to the schools vibrant co-curricular programme by leading STEM clubs science fairs and enrichment trips. There will also be opportunities to support Oxbridge preparation and lead initiatives linked to sustainability and environmental science.

Experience and Qualifications
QTS/PGCE and degree in a Science discipline
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level desirable
Strong communication and analytical skills
Enthusiasm for practical science and lifelong learning
