About the School
A prestigious independent 1118 school in Oxford is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead its SEND provision from January 2026. The Learning Support Department plays a key role in ensuring that every student achieves their potential regardless of individual learning differences.

About the Role
The SENCO will oversee all aspects of the schools SEND strategy ensuring that teaching assessment and intervention are of the highest quality. Responsibilities include managing the Learning Support Team coordinating EHCPs liaising with parents and external specialists and providing staff training on adaptive teaching and differentiation.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the schools broader inclusion agenda shaping initiatives that promote mental health resilience and wellbeing. The SENCO reports directly to the Deputy Head (Academic) and works closely with pastoral leads to embed inclusive practices throughout the curriculum.

Experience and Qualifications
QTS and NASENCO qualification (or equivalent)
Proven experience in SEND leadership or management
Excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills
Commitment to inclusive and evidence-based educational practice
