Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with deep experience in AWS Python and modern test automation frameworks to join our Test Engineering Program. This is a software engineering driven quality role focused on building intelligent validation frameworks automation infrastructure and quality tooling for large-scale machine learning and data platforms.
As a Lead Engineer you will design and develop testing frameworks automation services and platform-level validation tools that enhance reliability resilience and performance across distributed systems. Youll collaborate closely with platform MLOps and infrastructure teams to embed quality engineering as a first-class citizen in every part of the software lifecycle.
Note: This is not a simple tester role. The ideal candidate is a seasoned software engineer with strong development automation and cloud platform experience.
Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain high-performance testing tools and frameworks to validate ML data pipelines and AI infrastructure.

Build platform-level test automation solutions using Python Terraform and AWS cloud-native technologies.

Integrate automated testing resilience checks and observability hooks into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins).

Champion validation-as-code and testability principles across the ML platform stack.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure platform reliability scalability and compliance with quality standards.

Build reusable and scalable testing components to enable self-service quality tooling.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to setting technical and quality standards within the organization.
Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Engineering or related field.

8 years of hands-on software development experience (backend platform or test engineering).

Strong Python skills including experience with frameworks like pytest Playwright or similar tools.

Solid experience with AWS services (Lambda ECS/EKS S3 Step Functions CloudWatch).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Proven background in CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitHub Actions Jenkins etc.).

Strong understanding of software engineering best practices-including reliability scalability observability and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to machine learning workflows MLOps or data engineering pipelines.

Experience with distributed systems event-driven architectures (Kafka) or big data frameworks (Spark Databricks).

Familiarity with financial services including data governance and compliance-focused development.

Understanding of platform security monitoring and resilient architecture design patterns.
