Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Monday Friday 8:30/9am - 4:30/5pm
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations under the general supervision of a Radiologist or physician. This role operates in both ambulatory and hospital environments producing high-quality imaging to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established clinical protocols and departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures (e.g. abdominal OB/GYN vascular musculoskeletal and breast) as ordered by a physician or licensed provider.
Operate ultrasound equipment and related systems with accuracy and safety.
Ensure patient comfort safety and confidentiality throughout the exam.
Review and evaluate images for quality completeness and diagnostic value.
Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient data.
Communicate effectively with radiologists and physicians regarding results or issues.
Maintain equipment and report malfunctions or need for repairs.
Comply with all infection control safety and quality assurance policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience:

Less than 1 year of experience required.

Required Certification/License/Registration:
Must hold one of the following certifications:

ARDMS (OB/GYN AB BR MSK RVT)
ARRT (S or BS)
CCI (RVS)

AND:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not current).
