Job Title: Java Developer with Kafka and SQL
Location: Chicago IL (Onsite Local Candidates Only)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Develop enhance and maintain backend applications using Core Java Spring and Spring Boot.
Implement and manage Kafka-based data pipelines for real-time data streaming.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture DevOps QA and business analysts) to deliver high-quality solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Participate in design discussions code reviews and performance tuning activities.

Required Skills:

5 8 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
Strong experience with Kafka (producer/consumer topics partitions schema registry etc.).
Proficiency in SQL (Oracle MySQL or PostgreSQL).
Experience with Spring Boot Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS/Azure preferred).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
