Job Title: Receiving Inspector
- Department: Quality / Materials (Weld Shop Support)

- Pay: $25.00 $30.00 per hour DOE
- Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM start)
Position Summary:
Verify incoming materials and components meet engineering and customer requirements with a focus on items supporting the Weld Shop. Review supplier documentation perform visual and dimensional inspections document results and manage nonconformances to keep production flowing.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials fabricated parts weldments and assemblies.

Read engineering drawings/prints and apply basic GD&T to confirm part conformity.

Verify supplier certifications test reports and material traceability against purchase orders and specs.
-
Identify and segregate nonconforming material; open and maintain NCRs; support MRB decisions.
-
Use precision tools (micrometers calipers indicators height gages); maintain accurate inspection records.
-
Enter inspection results and dispositions in ERP/QMS; ensure calibration status of gages used.

Communicate issues with Purchasing Quality and Production; support supplier corrective actions as needed.

Follow plant safety policies and quality procedures; support audits and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (technical certificate or AS in a related field preferred).

3 5 years of receiving or quality inspection experience in manufacturing/fabrication.

Strong blueprint reading and basic GD&T; familiarity with AWS/ASTM/ASME standards is a plus.

ERP/QMS data entry and documentation accuracy; solid communication with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have: Experience inspecting harnesses/elec. assemblies (IPC/WHMA-A-620) and weld-related goods.
Physical & Work Environment:

Stand and walk for extended periods; lift/move up to 40 lbs with proper technique.

Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with moderate noise and material handling equipment.

Use required PPE and follow safe handling practices.
