• About Facility:
  • 6965 Fairview Rd. Charlotte NC 28211
  • 16 bed free standing emergency department
  • No Trauma Designation licensed under CMC Main
  • Facility offers 24/7 on-site X-ray CT and Ultrasound services
  • Limited STAT Outpatient imaging is also provided at this location weekdays only max of 6 patients/day
  • Radius rule: Travelers permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
• Department Information:
  • Average of 68 ED visits per day
  • Minimum Years of Experience required 2 years ED experience
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler Prefer traveler experience but not required
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
  • ED patients only all ages; Common ED Diagnoses and Behavioral Health
  • Approx. 10% admit rate
• Required License National Certification Certs (BLS ACLS etc.) or other position specific requirements such as Drivers License and/or Insurance:
  • BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS CPI required
  • NRP - preferred
• Ratios:
  • RN: 1:4 typically
• Skills required:
  • General ED Skillset to include but not limited to - Cardiac rhythm interpretation experience with critical care drips PIV starts TNK/TPA administration conscious sedation
• Support within Department:
  • Days: Start with (4) RNs at 0700; (2) RNs come in at 1100 (1) RN comes in at1500
  • Nights: (4) RNs report at 1900 for 12 hr shift
  • Staffed with RNs RT and Imaging all clinicians will work as unit (Imaging and Respiratory Therapist are cross trained to assist in patient cares)
  • Charge RN without patient assignment
  • Paramedic in house 1p-1a
  • RT 24/7 in house

  • Region 1 - Cabarrus University City Stanly Lake Norman Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
  • Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below as needed within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable
• Orientation (facility and unit):
  • NEO
  • 2 days departmental
• Scheduling:
  • Weekend rotation: every other
  • No call
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
  • RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off excluding holiday weeks must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
  • Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
