Pipeline Project Engineer – Offshore Subsea Projects

is leading a recruitment project for a fast-growing independent Energy Company operating in the Offshore Oil & Gas sector. As part of a strategic subsea development we are seeking an experienced Pipeline Project Engineer to join a dynamic project team based in Lisbon. The role involves coordinating engineering procurement construction and offshore installation activities related to SURF (Subsea Umbilicals Risers and Flowlines) with direct exposure to international interfaces and technically complex scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate engineering studies and ensure timely delivery of technical documentation.

• Support the development and review of pipeline and subsea system designs.

• Manage SURF procurement processes including RFQs supplier evaluations and follow-up.

• Oversee construction and fabrication activities ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

• Plan and support offshore installation including route surveys lay methods and equipment layout.

• Participate in site visits inspections and offshore missions providing technical support during execution.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure accurate reporting to project leads.

Main Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Offshore or Subsea Engineering.

• 610 years of experience in SURF/pipeline projects with exposure to both design and installation.

• Strong understanding of offshore installation techniques (S-lay J-lay reel-lay).

• Experience in supplier management technical coordination and budget control.

• Solid analytical skills autonomy and attention to detail.

• Comfortable in multicultural environments and cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel internationally and offshore (BOSIET and medical clearance required or to be obtained).

Mobility & Conditions:

• Based in Lisbon Portugal with travel to shipyards fabrication yards suppliers and offshore campaigns.

• Offshore missions require BOSIET and Offshore Medical (to be obtained if not already held).
