A leading financial services provider is looking to appoint a Regional Manager International Investments to take charge of its offshore distribution strategy across the Western Cape region. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic relationship-driven environment and is ready to lead a team while managing a key intermediary portfolio.
This Cape Town-based position plays a pivotal role in executing the national offshore investment strategy and supporting business growth through professional intermediary engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Offshore Specialists across various regions
- Drive the implementation of the international distribution strategy across key channels
- Develop and execute a regional business plan focused on intermediary growth retention and support
- Manage intermediary relationships and increase international investment flows
- Provide investment education marketing support and sales enablement to intermediaries and support staff
- Coordinate marketing content and contribute to the offshore product and campaign strategy
- Deliver presentations technical training and practice management support to intermediaries
- Provide market insights including competitor trends and regulatory updates
- Ensure full regulatory compliance (FAIS FICA TCF) and act as a Category I authorised representative
- Maintain effective internal and external SLAs and stakeholder relationships
- Manage administrative functions and consultant support within the team
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in financial distribution with proven leadership experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance or investments
- RE5 qualification required
- Strong technical knowledge of international investment products and trends
- Experience supporting and developing independent financial advisor (IFA) practices
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel regularly
- Prior approval as an authorised representative is advantageous
