Commercial HVAC Technicians are responsible for the maintenance repair and installation of heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration systems that control the temperature and air quality in commercial buildings.
- Inspect HVAC systems and their components (e.g. air conditioning units building exhaust fans ventilation units etc.) to evaluate condition identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance
- Install new heating cooling and ventilation systems in commercial buildings
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC equipment
- Ensure HVAC systems and procedures adhere to laws regulations and standards
- Check electrical wiring thermostats and distribution systems for any issues
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Provide high-quality customer service and maintain a professional rapport with clients
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms reports logs and records
Requirements
- Proven experience as HVAC technician
- Demonstrated ability to handle and use tools commonly used in the HVAC trade
- Experience with diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Current license in trade (HVAC) is a plus
- Ability to work in diverse environments and adverse conditions
- Knowledge of HVAC codes and proper application; knowledge of proper electrical and HVAC safety
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning refrigeration and heating
