We are seeking a talented Specialty Manager - Power to join our Energy & Power Specialty Team based in Mexico. The position could be based either in Monterrey Guadalajara or Mexico City (Arcos Bosques).

This is a hybrid role which requires working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Specialty Manager - Power you will work on innovative commercial solutions on some of our largest Energy Accounts. Helping our clients and prospects understand and manage their risks and mitigate volatility you will also get the chance to build strong relationships across a varied client base and get to work closely with the various cultures and business practices across Marsh offices throughout our network.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage and supervise the processes to fulfil our clients needs
  • Strategy with the specialties team for the growth of the assigned portfolio.
  • Follow up and management of the compliance with the insurance program for each of the assigned clients (collections claims placement etc.).
  • Collaboration with the specialty team for the growth of the assigned portfolio.
  • Coordination with our colleagues globally and at national level for the alignment of placement strategies and/or management of global programs (energy sector accounts).
  • Innovation in the placement of the insurance programs mainly in the energy sector through negotiating the best terms and conditions as well as in day-to-day operations to streamline processes and follow up on requirements with our clients.
  • Constant training in the proper advisory of our clients regulatory and legal issues knowledge of the local and international market in the energy sector.
  • Participate in presentations to prospective and existing clients identify the need for new products and develop/suggest innovative solutions for them.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Actuary Industrial Engineering Finance Economics or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in risk analysis placement underwriting preferably in Broker or insurance companies.
  • Knowledge and experience in Oil & Gas Power or Energy industries is desired.
  • Intermediate-Advanced English skills
  • Ability to solve business problems through consultative approach with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues.
  • Proficient with software packages such as Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills.
