Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager Civil & Structures to lead the planning execution and delivery of large-scale infrastructure or transit projects ensuring alignment with scope budget schedule and quality standards. This position oversees multidisciplinary teams manages project risks coordinates with stakeholders across municipal provincial and federal agencies and ensures compliance with all contractual regulatory and safety requirements. The Senior Project Manager also supports business development through proposal preparation and client engagement while preparing and presenting project updates to senior leadership and external partners all while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.

This role sits in our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change urbanization and digitization trends are requiring todays mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the worlds growing population. We design connected sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

In this role you will support the Project Leadership team in the planning execution and delivery of large-scale infrastructure or transit projects ensuring that all activities are aligned with defined scope budget schedule and quality standards. You will oversee multidisciplinary project teams composed of internal staff consultants and contractors fostering collaboration and driving performance to achieve project objectives.

You will be responsible for managing project risks developing effective mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Part of your role will involve coordinating with a range of stakeholders including municipal provincial and federal agencies utility companies and transit authorities to facilitate smooth project delivery.

Additionally you will prepare and present project reports forecasts and updates to senior leadership and external partners providing clear and concise updates on progress and challenges. You will also support business development efforts by contributing to proposal preparation and engaging with clients to build and maintain strong relationships.

Throughout the project lifecycle you will ensure that all activities adhere to health safety and environmental standards promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across the project team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture Project Management or a related field; Masters degree preferred
• Minimum 1015 years of progressive experience in infrastructure or transit project management
• Proven track record managing large-scale capital projects in Ontario or similar jurisdictions
• PMP certification or equivalent is required
• Strong knowledge of alternate delivery models (e.g. P3 DB)
• Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills
• Professional Engineering (.) designation in Ontario is an asset
