COMPENSATION: Typical starting range $63336.00 - $79152.00 annually
STATUS & HOURS: Full-time regular (approximately 2080 annual hours) position.

DESCRIPTION: This position plans prioritizes and supervises activities associated with the digitization of the MNHS collections (excluding newspapers) for online access order fulfillment and preservation including hiring purchasing and vendor relations and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
SUMMARY OF WORK: 1) Provide supervisory oversight to unit staff; 2)Manage the general operations of the unit; 3)Direct activities related to the digitization of non-newspaper collections including fulfillment of patron/service orders; 4) Evaluate collections for digitization and online access; 5) Collaborate on processes and issues relating to digitization and access of collections; and 6) Contribute to the administration of the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree plus three years of experience working with archival collections in a professional setting OR masters degree in library/information science or archival studies plus two years of professional experience with archival collections in an archival setting.
Minimum one year of formal supervisory experience including providing performance-based feedback.
Minimum two years of hands-on experience with the digitization of archival and bound materials.
Experience with troubleshooting equipment and software issues and vendor relations.
Experience with prioritizing assigning scheduling and directing the work projects of others..
Experience tracking compiling and reporting on productivity metrics.
Ability to manage several projects at once including strong time management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond productively to unanticipated changes and assignments.
Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills including experience in a highly collaborative team-oriented environment.
Ability to work in an environment where the air quality may contain dust mold or other airborne particles.
DEMONSTRATED SKILLS IN OR KNOWLEDGE OF:
Attention to detail.
Multitasking working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritizing and adapting to changing priorities.
Working independently and taking individual initiative while also being able to collaborate effectively and contribute positively in a team environment.
Computer skills including the ability to create organize and maintain paper and electronic files especially in Microsoft Excel and Google suite.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An advanced library/information science or archival studies degree.
Experience with a variety of digitization equipment such as flat-bed sheet-feed large-format overhead and microfilm scanners.
Experience with archival finding aids and cataloging.
Knowledge of copyright law as related to archives and libraries.
Knowledge of common archival collection restrictions including PII.
Experience developing and documenting guidelines specifications and workflows as well as training others.
Familiarity with Trello project management software.
Familiarity with Ex Libris Alma/Primo system.
