Arcadis Calgaryoffice is searching for aCivil Stormwater Engineerto join its growing team!
A Civil Stormwater Engineer role is highly rewarding due to its significant impact on public safety environmental protection and community well-being. These professionals design and manage systems that prevent flooding reduce water pollution and ensure proper drainage all while contributing to a healthier ecosystem. This position will be working in a multidisciplinary environment on a variety of projects with sustainability mandates and the incorporation of low-impact development strategies.

Role accountabilities:
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic modelling including data collection design review model setup and calibration and system assessment
- Support the development of stormwater servicing plans
- Develop rainwater source control LID concepts and assist in LID designs
- Provide technical analysis in support of Civil engineering design associated with municipal or rural stormwater systems and stormwater management facilities
- Provide quality control and peer review on colleagues projects
- Coordination of CAD design technologists to prepare designs ensuring quality procedures are followed
- Coordination with project managers on site design budget scheduling proposals and related technical documents
- Develop and maintain positive client subconsultant and approving authority relationships
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Registration as a professional engineer (.) or EIT with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- Minimum of 3years of experiencein assessment modeling and detailed design of stormwater systems. Detailed design experience in general municipal engineering transportation or community development projects
- Experienced in infrastructure master planning flood management or river modelling is an asset
- Excellent organizational communication and technical writing skills
- Strong software skills: using hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software such as PCSWMM XPSWMM HEC-RAS SWMHYMO Civil 3D as well as Excel Word and Bluebeam
