Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator High School Program
Full-time Work-Based Learning Coordinator needed to expand high-quality career exploration internships and community-partner learning that connects classroom instruction to real-world skills.
Gordon Bernells high school program uses advisory and individualized learning plans (ILPs) to help students navigate their path to graduation and purposeful next steps. The WBL Coordinator will build partnerships with employers and organizations align experiences to coursework and competencies and support students in developing employability skills that lead to long-term success.
The ideal candidate will:
Build and maintain partnerships with employers and community organizations; coordinate site agreements and onboarding requirements
Collaborate with teachers and advisors to align WBL experiences with ILPs course outcomes and industry-recognized skills
Support students with placement scheduling transportation coordination and ongoing coaching on workplace expectations
Track hours credentials and outcomes; maintain accurate records in school data systems and produce progress reports
Demonstrate cultural humility strong communication and flexibility in serving diverse learners
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in workforce development career services education or a related field
Experience coordinating internships apprenticeships CTE or employer partnerships preferred
Project management relationship-building and clear documentation skills required
Current background check required
