Teaching Assistant (180 hours) SWRK 527 - Advanced Social Work Practice in Quebec Sec 001 CRN 4868. Mondays 11:35 - 14:25 Birks 203 Winter 2026 Term.
Knowledge of the following required:
- Social work practice in the province of Quebec.
- The Reserved Acts (designated by the OTSTCFQ).
- The critical analysis of key OTSTCFQ Reserved Acts within the social work profession in Quebec;
- Advanced assessment skills using approaches rooted anti-oppressive critical and reflexive social work theories with attention to individual community systemic interpersonal institutional legal and structural factors and contexts;
- Advanced intervention skills at the various levels of practice (micro mezzo and macro);
- Advanced critical and reflexive social work skills to navigate assessment and intervention.
