Overview
Shift: 40 hours/week
Leadership Role Iowa Lutheran Hospital
2 North is a 30 bed medical-surgical unit that provides acute care services to inpatients and observation patients. The unit specializes in Orthopedics Gynecology Urology and Abdominal Surgery. 2N also can care for patients requiring remote telemetry. Our patient population includes pediatric adolescent adult and aging adult.

Responsibilities
The Unit Supervisor:
Provides leadership as part of the unit management team.
Coordinates unit management activities in conjunction with the manager/director.
Facilitates staff development within the unit in collaboration with the manager/director.
Implements the day-to-day operational plan of the unit under the direction of the manager/director.
Serves as a resource to other health team members on the assigned unit.
Collaborates with other departments to promote cost-effective health care.
May serve patients across the lifespan including infants pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric populations.
Assumes patient care assignments based on unit needs.
Qualifications
- Two years experience as a clinical nurse.
- BSN.
- Current Iowa license to practice as a RN.
- Writes reads and speaks fluent English.
- Completion of basic management courses within one year.
- Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
