Job Summary
As the Fokker Elmo logistics team in Papendrecht we work together to ensure that production has the right quality parts available at the right time and in the right quantity. From receipt to shipment this includes: unloading inspection storage distribution internal transport delivery shipping documentation & customs forms arranging transport and physical shipment. Everyone has their specific role in the logistics process.
As a team leader you will manage a wharehouse team and you will be continuously developing your people and the logistics process. You will be the link between purchasing and production production and sales and you will know how to motivate the team. We are looking for people-oriented managers with an eye for continuous improvement!
Job Responsibilities
Ensuring a safe working environment
Coaching the incoming goods team
Conducting performance reviews and progress meetings
Applying LEAN/5S methodologies and implementing process improvements where necessary
Setting up a streamlined departmental structure and organizing the warehouse and logistics processes
Initiating improvement actions including those focused on logistics and production processes quality deviations and the physical working environment
The connection between the supply chain and the production floor ensuring a correct material flow in line with expectations and needs
Maintain good relationships with internal customers clear communication flow about the progress of the processes
Job Qualifications
MBO or HBO working and thinking level preferably a completed HBO degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
At least 3-5 years of (functional) management experience preferably in the technical field
Good command of the Dutch and English languages
Knowledge of LEAN/5S methodology is an advantage
You are clear in your communication and know how to create support
