In collaboration with the Quality Assurance Lead the expert analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality of delivered IT solutions (software web applications client-server applications and BI solutions) by designing developing and executing manual and automated test plans. This role is essential to support the full lifecycle of IT projects from planning to production.
Responsibilities :
- Validate the quality of solutions developed internally or delivered by external IT service providers.
- Define and adapt quality standards throughout the development cycle.
- Assess testing effort required for projects and enhancements.
- Develop and implement testing strategies.
- Design and execute manual and automated tests using specialized tools.
- Identify document and follow up on issues (bugs) and fixes.
- Train and support team members on testing tools and QA best practices.
- Recommend improvements to existing QA processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications :
- Degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT quality assurance.
- Experience with testing tools such as ALM (an asset).
- Proficiency in developing and executing automated test scripts (TestComplete TestExecute an asset).
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft-based transactional web platforms.
- Strong time and priority management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Team spirit attention to detail and initiative.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *
A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
