Were looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our high-performing Civil team in Adelaide leading the delivery of complex and meaningful infrastructure projects across the Defence and Buildings sectors. This is a senior leadership role where youll drive technical excellence mentor a growing team and play a key role in shaping the future of civil engineering at KBR.

The Opportunity:

As our Principal Civil Engineer youll be the technical authority on a range of civil infrastructure projects with a strong focus on Defence and Buildings. Youll work closely with the Civil Discipline Manager to lead project delivery develop client relationships and support the growth and performance of the team.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Lead the planning design and execution of civil infrastructure projects ensuring technical quality safety and client satisfaction.

• Provide strategic direction technical oversight and mentorship to engineers and designers.

• Review and verify engineering calculations reports and deliverables.

• Manage project scope budgets and timelines with a focus on risk mitigation and quality outcomes.

• Support bids and proposals and contribute to business development and market growth.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships across government and private sectors.

• Champion best practices in HSE quality and project delivery.

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.

• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (or equivalent).15 years experience in civil engineering with a strong background in Defence and/or Civil infrastructure projects.

• Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary design teams.

• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and local industry practices.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience in project and team management including mentoring and performance development.

• Working knowledge of commercial arrangements and project delivery frameworks.

• Please note: Due to Defence projects requirements applicants must currently reside in Australia and be Australian citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for this role.
