Summary
Personal Care Aides (PCAs) provide compassionate hands-on care to ensure residents health and well-being.
Essential functions
- Assist residents with daily living activities (e.g. grooming dressing bathing)
- Monitor and maintain residents personal hygiene and supplies
- Perform regular rounds and respond to residents needs
- Support residents during meals and encourage participation in activities
- Maintain cleanliness of residents living spaces and do laundry
- Assist with mobility including transfers and transportation
- Provide basic health-related assistance (e.g. bowel/bladder management prosthetic devices)
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Experience:
Six months to one-year related experience or training Specific business experience with
older adults or in the retirement housing industry preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
