Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Senior Sales Manager who will be responsible for identifying soliciting and managing group and banquet opportunities. As a key member of our sales team this individual will be expected to actively pursue every business opportunity to maximize revenue potential achieve both personal and team sales goals and ensure all business is properly and promptly turned over for seamless service delivery.

Reporting to Director of MICE the Senior Sales Manager will also play a crucial role in driving customer loyalty by delivering Sofitel cousu-main (tailor-made) service throughout the client journey while consistently nurturing relationships to grow accounts on behalf of the company.

  • Understanding Market Opportunities & Driving Revenue.
  • Targets MICE accounts markets and segments with a strong focus on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of the overall market - competitor strengths and weaknesses economic trends and demand dynamics - to effectively position and sell against competitors.
  • Secures the most profitable business opportunities for the property by aligning sales strategies with market conditions and property objectives.
  • Applies strong negotiation skills and creative selling techniques to close business and finalize contracts successfully.
  • Collaborates closely with MICE and Event Team to effectively manage business opportunities and ensure alignment.
  • Responds promptly to incoming MICE inquiries. Identifies qualifies and solicits new MICE and banqueting business to achieve individual and property revenue goals.
  • Concentrates efforts on accounts with significant sales and revenue potential.
  • Develops and implements effective MICE and banqueting sales strategies plans reports and actions.
  • Designs develops and sells creative and memorable catered events tailored to client needs.
  • Maximizes revenue potential through strategic upselling of packages enhancements and creative food and beverage options.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards in all MICE operations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or related field
  • Strong knowledge of the MICE sector current market trends and the Indonesian hospitality landscape
  • Excellent leadership negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies in diverse markets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Willingness to travel within Indonesia and internationally as required
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Visionary mindset with a passion for innovation in the MICE industry
