Job Summary

Pro-Active Engineering is looking for a Manufacturing /Process Engineer IIwho will be responsible for introducing new product from PCB array creation to production as well as monitoring and validating the production process of electronic circuit boards to ensure quality requirements are met. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Functions
1. Monitor and validate production processes and operating systems for the manufacture of electronic circuit boards.
2. Create/edit/maintain necessary documentation.
3. Create manufacturing documents to be used for the completion of electronic assemblies.
4. Assist quoting with alternate and substitute part/package solutions. Research part equivalent replacements.
5. Conduct process audits and observe failure modes.
6. Provide technical support for testers and failed electronic assembly.
7. Implement Lean Manufacturing processes for SMT and leaded assembly lines.
8. Strategically implement statistical process controls for monitoring and improving product quality.
9. Continually improve department processes to include production routing and documentation.
10. Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve productivity and efficiency.
11. Develop and report on production based metrics.
12. Provide engineering support for troubleshooting efforts.

Required Education and Experience
  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology Electronics or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience working in Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Knowledge of electronic components and equipment.
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction including Reflow Analysis Bare Board Array etc.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards.
  • CAD or similar design software experience.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Experience with flow chart or value stream mapping.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA process failure modes and effects analysis.
