  • 6:00 am 2:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
  • Overtime as needed

Compensation

At S&C we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $20 per hour.This role is also eligible for S&Cs annual short-term incentive bonus subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate aboutAssembly S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our assembly function. As an assembler youll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse this job you will assemble Mark V TR-II ScadaMate or Vista Switches. You will work in a production environment engage in continuous production activity must meet requirements within time constraints and you will be held accountable for the quality of your work. Tasks require a mechanical assembly aptitude an above average degree of eye-hand coordination manual dexterity and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools working while standing on the floor and occasionally on a ladder or manlift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembling Mark V circuit-switchers at one of several stations ranging in size from 6 x 10 x 10 to 15 x 15 x 15.
  • Assembling TR-II switches ranging in size up to 5 x 1 x 1 to 11x 1 x 1.
  • Identifying transporting installing mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 100 lbs. with assistance). Some judgment is required to assemble and make simple adjustments.
  • Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches screwdriver and tape measure and electrical inspection using a test console.
  • Using simple material handling equipment hand tools power tools simple gauges and instruments and overhead cranes

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

What youll Need To Succeed:

  • Proficient in reading blueprints
  • Testing knowledge of electrical switching e.g. relays contactors and circuitbreakers.
  • Demonstrate the skills to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
  • Ability to use shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assembly operations preferred.
  • Manufacturing assembly experience.
  • Soldering experience preferred.

Physical demands:

  • Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
  • Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
  • Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
  • Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
  • Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
  • Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.
  • Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
  • Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
  • Other: Respirator certification required.
