Job Summary
CNC Machinist
Direct opportunity
Rate: $65-70K
Hours: the team works 4 / 10-hour days
Cincinnati OH
Responsibilities:
Develop optimize and validate CNC machining programs for defense components.
Simulate toolpaths to detect and prevent errors before production.
Ensure CAD programming aligns with manufacturability and process efficiency.
Analyze engineering drawings BOMs GD&T and material properties to refine programming.
Optimize machining strategies for hard and soft materials including dissimilar metals.
Ensure compliance with industry standards tooling design and defense tolerances.
Work with design engineers to enhance CAD-based programs for production feasibility.
Perform machine setup initial runs troubleshooting and post-machining inspections.
Continuously improve programming strategies and material handling techniques.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GEDrequired;Associate degree in engineering technology or higher preferred
US Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
Advanced skill and proficiency inMastercampreferred
Experience with CAD design and its direct impact on manufacturability
Hands-on experience with VERICUT for CNC program validation and simulation
Strong knowledge of GD&T tooling design and defense tolerances
Experience machining hard and soft materials including dissimilar metals
Tool design experience a plus
Must be mechanically inclined
Must be able toliftto 15 pounds at times
Intermediate to expert knowledge of Y14.5-1994
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Works well in a fast-faced environment with minimal day-to-day supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
