What this job involves: This position performs comprehensive maintenance monitoring and repairs across mechanical plumbing structural furniture fire life safety and control systems to maintain facility and building systems at applicable standards. The role encompasses preventative maintenance quality control safety compliance and technical proficiency while managing vendor relationships and ensuring optimal HVAC system performance through regular cleaning inspection calibration and parts replacement.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Performing maintenance monitoring and repairs on mechanical plumbing structural furniture fire life safety and control systems

Maintaining HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels through cleaning inspecting calibrating and changing parts

Managing facility services including preventative maintenance purchasing inventory control and contracted maintenance oversight

Reviewing monthly client service request summaries to identify and correct recurring operational problems

Recording equipment readings and making necessary adjustments to ensure proper system operation

Evaluating vendors and suppliers regularly for quality performance and competitive pricing while verifying delivery accuracy

Complying with departmental policies for safe storage usage and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining workplace safety

Monitoring quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors

Performing periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory to ensure proper maintenance capabilities

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trade schooling in electrical system design refrigeration and HVAC

Certification as Universal Technician for CFCs (or obtained within 90 days of employment)

Ability to analyze operation of various systems determine cause of problems/malfunctions and take corrective action

Availability for call-in work and flexibility to perform additional duties as required

Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks and work in various facility conditions

Strong attention to detail for quality control and safety compliance

Preferred:

Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance or building operations

Experience with vendor management and contractor oversight

Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and inventory control systems

Background in HVAC system optimization and energy efficiency practices

Familiarity with building automation systems and control technologies

Estimated compensation for this position:

85841..00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications location market conditions and internal considerations.
