Job Summary

Medical A/R Collector - Drive Financial Success Through Expert Collections

Join our team as a Medical A/R Collector where youll play a pivotal role in resolving complex billing challenges and enhancing our collections process efficiency. This hybrid position offers the perfect balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility to support your work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically resolve a range of outstanding claims and billing discrepancies directly impacting our organizations financial health
  • Analyze reports and identify trends to proactively address recurring issues before they affect our bottom line
  • Work independently on assigned worklists showcasing your expertise and attention to detail
  • Build relationships with insurance companies and patients through effective communication to resolve accounts
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external vendors representing our organization professionally
  • Mentor new team members sharing your knowledge and helping others develop their skills
  • Craft compelling appeal letters and documentation for denied claims to maximize recovery
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure proper billing processes
  • Escalate unresolved billing issues to appropriate supervisors with clear documentation
  • Maintain detailed records of all actions and communications related to account follow-up

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in A/R collections with healthcare experience preferred
  • Proficiency in billing systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that help you navigate complex billing scenarios
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to make calls and negotiate resolutions
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged sitting at a computer workstation
  • Frequent use of telephone requiring multitasking and focus
  • Must be able to lift light objects and read small font documents
  • Ability to adjust routine to meet departmental goals

Work Arrangement

This role is designated as a hybrid position offering flexibility while maintaining team connectivity. The organization at its discretion and based on operational needs reserves the right to revise the work arrangement.

Compensation

Pay range: $26.00 per hr - $32.00 per hr (Depending on Experience)
