About Grand Junction Regional Center:
Grand Junction Regional Center (GJRC) is a collection of group homes that serves adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who need additional support to stabilize and return to community residential settings. GJRCs focus is on improving outcomes for individuals with IDD as well as promoting community integration. GJRC has a total of 10 homes nestled throughout established neighborhoods of Grand Valley. These homes feature warm comfortable living spaces and private fenced backyards with recreation equipment.
Description of Job
TheClinical Nurse Trainerplays a vital role in developing implementing and delivering medical and clinical education programs for staff at GJRC. This position ensures nursing staff and direct care professionals receive comprehensive compliant and high-quality training to support the delivery of therapeutic services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Additionally as a Clinical Nurse Trainer you can expect to:
Develop lesson plans teaching materials and clinical content that meet regulatory and professional nursing standards.
Provide engaging classroom and hands-on instruction in subjects such as nursing skills medication administration infection control and body systems.
Design update and evaluate training curricula to ensure alignment with agency needs and current medical best practices.
Conduct competency checks and skills evaluations for new hires and current staff to ensure ongoing compliance and proficiency.
Facilitate required certifications and programs such as QMAP First Aid BLS and New Employee Orientation (NEO).
Collaborate with nursing leadership and staff development teams to plan and deliver continuing education initiatives.
Maintain accurate training records evaluations and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory and agency standards.
Provide mentorship feedback and support to nursing staff and co-instructors to enhance their professional growth and instructional effectiveness.
Travel between group homes and program sites to conduct clinical instruction evaluations and on-site support.
Stay current on nursing regulations clinical procedures and adult learning strategies to continuously improve training outcomes.
Maintain active licensure certifications and participation in staff development meetings and required education.
Support the mission of GJRC by ensuring that all nursing education upholds quality care ethical standards and compliance with state and federal regulations.
This position is 100% In-Person:You are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times.Hours depend on the agency/community events and work needs. Mon-Fri 8-5 occasionally requires some evenings and weekends. Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience:
Current valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Three (3) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position

Appropriate education will substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience on a year-for-year basis
