The Opportunity
As the Senior Technical Officer you will deliver professional high quality technical services that support both teaching and research across the School. You will apply both theoretical and practical expertise to manage the delivery of a range of technical services.
This position manages electrical and electronic design and assembly providing integrated solutions involving computer interfacing equipment and systems while ensuring a safe and compliant environment that fosters innovative scientific exploration and supports a diverse and inclusive academic community.
You will work closely with researchers professional staff and students delivering sound and timely technical support and advice.
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in electrical/electronic design assembly maintenance and diagnostics
Strong skills in computer interfacing and software
Ability to analyse data troubleshoot equipment and propose solutions
Excellent communication skills to interact with academics students and technical/professional staff
Rigorous approach to safety quality assurance and regulatory compliance
