Job Summary

As a Software Engineer III DevOps Delivery at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank - Payment Engineering and Architecture Solutions Delivery team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Execute software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches
- Develop secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Address non-functional requirements to ensure stability security and scalability of the API infrastructure
- Actively participate in a highly energy global agile team
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for the generated deliverables
- Gather analyze synthesize and develop visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Foster to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Familiarity with container and container orchestration such as Kubernetes ECS and Docker
- Strong experience with Terraform and automation tooling and scripting knowledge (Bash/YAML) git-based workflows
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages i.e. Java JavaScript or Python
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
- Strong understanding of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) for RESTful APIs
- Practical AWS Cloud native experience

- AWS Skills: EKS ECS MSK
- Database experience: ClickHouse Aurora DynamoDB
- Familiarity with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
