Hi-Way Paving is always looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. While we may not have an immediate opening we continuously seek experienced operators to support our slip-form concrete paving operations on highways and airfields.

This role requires frequent travel between our project locations including Charlotte NC; Nashville TN; Columbia SC; and future sites as needed. If youre an experienced operator open to travel and looking for opportunities to contribute to high-quality paving projects wed love to hear from you!

What Youll Do:

Operate excavators loaders GPS dozers and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Assist with equipment maintenance repairs and performance improvements.
Load and unload materials and equipment safely.
Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
Complete required paperwork and documentation.
Perform additional tasks as needed.

What We Look For:

Experience: 1-3 years of heavy machinery operation on a construction or paving site (3 years preferred).
Equipment Knowledge: Experience with one or more of the following:
- Excavators
- GPS Dozers
- Loaders
- Skid steer roller screed etc.
Preferred: Highway or heavy construction experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to gain clearance for restricted/high-security zones (e.g. airport AOA military bases).
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time.
- Valid drivers license.
- Physical ability to lift 75 lbs climb walk kneel squat push pull and enter confined spaces.
- If applicable indicate union affiliation in your application.
- Must be at least 18 years old to meet job-site safety and labor requirements.

We operate in several southeastern and midwestern states with current job sites in Tennessee North Carolina and South Carolina as well as corporate/back-office operations in Ohio (our headquarters) and remote locations.
