Boston Childrens Health Physicians (BCHP) in affiliation with Boston Childrens Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at New York Medical College (NYMC) invites applications for a full-time Pediatric Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital (MFCH) located on the Westchester Medical Center (WMC) campus in Valhalla NY.

Position Overview

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology comprises a dedicated multidisciplinary team of ten pediatric cardiologists and two congenital heart surgeons providing comprehensive care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. We are seeking an additional Non-Invasive cardiologist to support our expanding cardiac program and to contribute to the academic clinical and educational missions of the division.

Our Heart Center runs two IAC accredited laboratories throughout the Westchester Medical Center network as well as Hudson Valley. We offer the full range of non-invasive services including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography fetal echocardiography and a new Fetal Care Center. We also provide full services in cross sectional imaging including a comprehensive cardiac MRI and growing CT program. Opportunities for collaboration with our world class adult colleagues exist and equipment throughout the hospital is state-of-the-art. This individual would be responsible for growing our cross-sectional imaging program along with our team of experienced imagers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
• Have completed advanced training in non-invasive cardiology including independent skills in reading cross-sectional imaging
• A 4th year in non-invasive cardiology is not required as long as significant experience and proven independent skills are present
• Demonstrate excellence in clinical care teaching and scholarly activity
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a passion for programmatic growth and innovation
• Be eligible for an academic appointment at New York Medical College commensurate with experience and scholarly achievements

About Our Program

BCHP is a multispecialty pediatric group practice of over 300 physicians providing tertiary and quaternary care across the region in close collaboration with Westchester Medical Center and Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital. The network encompasses 33 pediatric primary care practices and offers integrated access to the expertise and resources of Boston Childrens Hospital ensuring excellence in patient care education and innovation.

Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital serves as the regional quaternary care center for the Hudson Valley and is the only dedicated childrens hospital in the region. The hospital is home to:

• 150 pediatric beds including an 18-bed PICU 55-bed NICU and a dedicated pediatric emergency department
• Comprehensive subspecialty services and advanced pediatric surgical programs
