SUMMARY:
The Legal Administrator I is responsible for providing foundational support to the legal department by handling administrative and operational tasks. This role ensures accuracy and consistency in data entry contract management and compliance processes while supporting day-to-day requests from the legal team. This position is expected to operate with supervision from a manager. As directed by your manager this position will require you to support other departments and managers in order to fulfill the immediate requirements of the firm.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Contract and Compliance Data Management:
- Enter and maintain contract data insurance certificates and compliance information in internal systems
- Maintain compliance trackers and update documentation repositories.
Insurance Certificate Administration:
Administrative and Legal Team Support:
- Provide general administrative support including document formatting filing and scanning.
- Assist with intake and routing of requests to appropriate legal team members.
Process Improvement and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement small process improvements in data handling and compliance.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- One year of administrative clerical or data entry experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
- Basic math skills for addition subtraction division multiplication. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Outlook and PDF programs. Ability to learn new systems quickly.

Work Environment
Due to the collaborative nature of this role it is important that this team members regular working schedule aligns with the companys and fall within 8AM-5:30PM. The office contains office equipment resulting in equipment noise. This position will be working in a shared office space with other colleagues and may experience frequent interruptions conversations or other background noise.
