Job Title: Construction & Design Associate Attorney
Location: Denver CO (Hybrid Work Environment)

Position Overview
The Construction & Design Associate will be responsible for handling transactional and contract matters across a range of large-scale infrastructure and construction projects. The role involves drafting reviewing and negotiating construction contracts including EPC BOP cost-plus fixed-price CM agreements and professional services agreements. The Associate will also advise clients on risk management compliance and dispute prevention while ensuring all project-related documentation aligns with regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Draft and negotiate complex construction-related contracts including EPC/BOP design-build supply and subcontractor agreements.
- Advise clients on project development risk allocation insurance provisions and contract structuring across industrial energy residential and commercial projects.
- Collaborate with engineers architects contractors and owners to evaluate project deliverables timelines and budgetary compliance.
- Provide legal counsel on dispute resolution claims management and mitigation for construction-related conflicts.
- Manage and review project documents such as change orders payment applications and performance guarantees.
- Support the firms Construction and Design Practice Group on transactions covering renewable energy (wind solar hydro) manufacturing mining hospitality food processing and large-scale commercial builds.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal construction laws and industry standards.
- Participate in client meetings negotiations and business development initiatives.
- Contribute to handling design procurement and build contracts with domestic and international stakeholders.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 2 5 years of experience in transactional and contract work involving construction or design projects.
- Admission to the Colorado Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).
- Strong drafting negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with contract management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Strong academic credentials and client-service orientation.
- Prior experience in energy renewable industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contracting structures.
- Experience with construction disputes or claims resolution.
