Core responsibilities
Client and candidate management:
- Identify and develop business relationships with new and existing clients.
- Build and maintain a database of potential candidates.
- Advise clients on hiring needs and strategies.
Candidate sourcing and screening:
- Write and place job advertisements in various media.
- Source suitable candidates through networking referrals and headhunting.
- Screen resumes and cover letters and conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications.
Interview and selection process:
- Coordinate and manage interviews between candidates and clients.
- Provide clients with a shortlist of the most qualified candidates.
- Perform background checks as needed.
Negotiation and closing:
- Negotiate salary and benefits between the client and the candidate.
- Finalize the hiring arrangements and manage the offer stage.
Advising and reporting:
- Provide CV interview and general career advice to candidates.
- Stay updated on market trends to better advise clients.
- Maintain records of candidates and clients.
Requirements
- Matric/ Grade 12
- A diploma in human resources business or a related field is preferred.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and knowledge of sourcing techniques are advantageous.
- Previous experience in recruitment sales or customer service can be beneficial.
