Job Description

This is a new and exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our live gaming
operations. you will be the first line of defence ensuring our games and platforms run flawlessly for our users during the most critical moments in live sports events. You will be responsible for monitoring our production environment responding to incidents and triaging live customer issues. This role is perfect for a proactive technical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for both technology and sports. As this is a new function for the business you will have a unique opportunity to help shape our operational processes from the ground
up.

Responsibilities:
  • Real-Time Monitoring: Proactively monitor the health performance and availability of live games backend services APIs and sports data feeds using our monitoring platforms (e.g. Datadog Grafana Azure Monitor).
  • Incident Response: Act as the first responder for all production incidents. Diagnose issues perform initial troubleshooting and escalate to the appropriate development or infrastructure teams when necessary.
  • Live Issue Triage: Investigate and resolve escalated customer support tickets related to in-game issues data discrepancies or service availability.
  • Event Readiness: Prepare for and oversee high-traffic periods during major sports events globally ensuring platform stability and performance.
  • Communication: Manage internal and external communications during incidents providing clear and timely updates to stakeholders and customer support teams.
  • Process Improvement: Help define document and refine our incident management escalation and response procedures.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain daily operational health reports summarising platform performance and key incidents for the management team.
Requirements:
  • 4 years of experience in a similar role such as Technical Support Live OperationsDevOps or as a NOC Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with modern monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. DatadogGrafana Prometheus New Relic).
  • A solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Azure but AWS is also relevant).
  • Familiarity with log analysis tools (e.g. ELK Stack Splunk Azure Log Analytics).
  • Basic ability to query databases (SQL) to investigate data-related issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills with a calm and logical approach under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of issues from start to finish.
