We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager Finance to join our team in Johannesburg South Africa. As a key member of our finance department you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Finance in designing producing and reviewing financial reports insights and analytics to enable strategic decision-making across the organisation.
- Oversee the production and analysis of comprehensive financial reports including Income Statements Balance Sheets and other non-financial information
- Collaborate with Financial Managers and the Reporting team to deliver high-quality impactful business reports that meet agreed standards formats and timelines
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support the achievement of business objectives across various units clients and sectors
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimise organisational performance and drive growth
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control procedures
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes providing valuable input and analysis
- Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders as required
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation initiatives
Qualifications :
- First degree in Business Commerce or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA CIMA) is highly desirable
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar finance management role preferably within a corporate environment
- Proven expertise in financial insights and analytics with a strong background in finance and value management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Advanced proficiency in financial software tools and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in South Africa
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
