Description

Position Summary

Performs all functions and activities within the guidelines and philosophy set forth in the BMCC Mission Vision and Strategic Plan.

We are seeking a capable and experienced professional to play a pivotal role in supporting the oversight and administration of our apprenticeship programs. This part-time position partners closely with the Program Director to ensure the effective planning implementation and compliance of all programmatic activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership analytical and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex systems and build collaborative relationships across institutions industries and communities.


Essential Functions








Maintains sensitivity understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment inclusive of students faculty and staff of varying social economic cultural ideological and ethnic backgrounds.























Assist the Program Director with administrative tasks including scheduling correspondence compliance document management and activities in compliance with apprenticeship policies procedures and committee standards.











































Support program planning and implementation by coordinating meetings tracking deadlines and maintaining records.

























































Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide timely updates and responses.

























































Research and compile relevant materials to support program development and compliance.











































Create and maintain organization of program-related documents reports and databases.























Handle general inquiries and assist in resolving operational issues.








Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed.


Assist with compliance of institutional policies and local state and federal regulations including those related to FERPA and apprenticeship governance.

Assist in the development review and revision of apprenticeship handbooks policies and program communications.

Troubleshoot record and compliance issues propose process improvements and implement solutions with minimal oversight.

Assist with organizing tracking and evaluating key program metrics and performance indicators.

Support the onboarding of new apprentices and interface with institutional partners industry collaborators and educational stakeholders.

Represent the program with professionalism discretion and cultural sensitivity in communications with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Individuals must possess the following knowledge skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant administrative software such as OATS (Oregon Apprenticeship Tracking System).


Excellent written verbal and organizational communication skills.







Strong organizational and time management skills.
















Ability to work independently while supporting the Program Director.





















Strategic thinker with the ability to align day-to-day operations with long-term goals.
















Skilled in analyzing problems identifying solutions and exercising sound independent judgment.







Demonstrates professionalism discretion and a proactive approach to problem-solving while maintaining confidentiality.


Proven ability to build rapport and exercise sound judgement tact and diplomacy in demanding situations and while engaging with diverse populations across cultural and economic backgrounds.

Required Education and Experience

A minimum of 3 years of knowledge of apprenticeship policies structures and regulatory frameworks from an apprenticeship support or management position.

Preferred Education and Experience


A minimum of 5 years of experience in program administration regulatory compliance and program implementation in a support or management position.
