Job Summary: The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is responsible for verifying that all products in manufacturing and production meet the quality standards of S&V as well as customer requirements. This role supports overall product integrity through testing documentation and compliance with established procedures.
Job Title: QC Lab Technician
Schedule: All Shifts
Pay Rate: $18/HR

Performance Expectations
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Complete duties in a timely manner and accurately document all work as defined by Quality Control procedures and projects.
- Provide complete reliable and prompt information to managers and team members.
- Report any injuries unsafe equipment or safety violations to supervisors and management.
- Maintain an organized uncluttered and clean laboratory environment.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned and cross-train to support other Lab Technicians.
Essential Functions
Testing & Inspections
- Perform and document:
- Laboratory testing
- Line checks
- Microbial testing
- Environmental testing
- Raw material inspections
Documentation & Records Management
- Organize maintain and document:
- Finished product retains
- QC standards
- Work order history records
- Out of Specification (OOS) Reports
- Nonconformance Reports
Equipment & Supplies
- Maintain calibrate and verify calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Stock testing equipment and supplies; prepare purchase orders as needed.
Lab & Office Maintenance
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the microbiology lab and quality office.
- Prepare batch tickets for production.
Additional Duties
- Assist coworkers supervisors and management with projects as needed.
- Work occasional overtime (evenings or weekends) when required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience
- Experience working in a GMP environment preferred.
- 3 years experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
Other Qualifications
- Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prior experience in a food environment a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) beneficial.
- Must be able to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand and walk for the duration of the production shift.
- Occasionally required to sit climb balance stoop kneel or crouch.
- Infrequently required to lift up to 50 pounds.
