Are you looking for a new role that gets you out and about South West Water is looking for a Meter Reader to be part of our dedicated team based in Plymouth. You will join us on afull-time permanent basis on a salary of25274 per annum plus a range of excellent company benefits and support.
About the role:
As a Meter Reader for South West Water youll be out reading customer water meters across our service area to help ensure we deliver accurate customer billing.
What youll be doing:
- Accurately record and report water meter readings across our service area
- Deliver great customer service for both Household and Non-Household customers
- Optimise your time routes and mileage - local knowledge area of the area helps!
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled meter readings to meet your targets
- Report faulty meters for repair meters not set up on the system and suspected meter fraud cases for investigation
- Communicate well with all customers and colleagues
- Make sure company van and equipment are all up together and in good working order
- Always prioritise Health and Safety and follow our Home Safe guidance & procedures
What we are looking for:
- A full UK driving licence
- Confident and experienced with interacting with customers face to face
- Ability to deliver targets and goals
- Comfortable with lone working - in all weather conditions
- Basic computer skills for accurately reporting meter readings
