Are you looking for a new role that gets you out and about South West Water is looking for a Meter Reader to be part of our dedicated team based in North Cornwall. You will join us on afull-time permanent basis on a salary of25274 per annum plus a range of excellent company benefits and support.
About the role:
As a Meter Reader for South West Water youll be out reading customer water meters across our service area to help ensure we deliver accurate customer billing. Your primary area will be along the north coast so ideal for anyone livingbetween Wadebridge Bodmin Launceston and Camelford.
What youll be doing:
- Accurately record and report water meter readings across our service area
- Deliver great customer service for both Household and Non-Household customers
- Optimise your time routes and mileage - local knowledge area of the area helps!
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled meter readings to meet your targets
- Report faulty meters for repair meters not set up on the system and suspected meter fraud cases for investigation
- Communicate well with all customers and colleagues
- Make sure company van and equipment are all up together and in good working order
- Always prioritise Health and Safety and follow our Home Safe guidance & procedures
What we are looking for:
- A full UK driving licence
- Confident and experienced with interacting with customers face to face
- Ability to deliver targets and goals
- Comfortable with lone working - in all weather conditions
- Basic computer skills for accurately reporting meter readings
