Role Description:

The Business Development Specialist / Manager is responsible for identifying qualifying and initiating relationships with prospective clients and strategic partners to generate new revenue opportunities for Symphony. This role is focused on the top-of-the-funnel growth driving market expansion and scheduling exploratory meetings for the Sales organization. The Specialist requires a strong understanding of the financial technology landscape exceptional research skills and the ability to articulate Symphonys value proposition to executive and technical buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively research identify and target new enterprise accounts and market segments that align with Symphonys ideal customer profile within the financial services and technology sectors.
  • Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (email phone social) to engage decision-makers and key stakeholders. Successfully qualify prospects based on defined budget authority need and timeline (BANT) criteria.
  • Schedule high-quality initial meetings and product demonstrations for the Account Executive (Sales) team ensuring seamless and effective transition of qualified opportunities.
  • Gather competitive intelligence market feedback and industry information during outreach efforts sharing insights with the Sales and Product Marketing teams to refine messaging and targeting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Marketing or a related field. 2 years of professional experience in Business Development (BDR/SDR) Lead Generation or Inside Sales preferably within the Fintech Enterprise SaaS or B2B Technology sector.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the financial services industry common business structures and B2B sales cycles. Familiarity with technical communication or collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Proven proficiency in utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g. Salesforce) and sales engagement tools for tracking activity managing pipelines and reporting metrics.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to engage executive-level contacts persuasively. Highly motivated resilient and goal-oriented with a clear focus on achieving monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Preferred - Fluency in French
