Home to beloved brands like PEDIGREE WHISKAS and DINE were looking for a Process Development Technologist to join our passionate R&D team and help shape the future of pet nutrition innovation.

About the Role

Youll play a key role in developing and improving process solutions for the Mars Pet Nutrition Australia & New Zealand business.

Reporting to the R&D Program Manager youll lead process troubleshooting problem-solving and capability development for our Dry and Care & Treat (C&T) categories ensuring every product we make meets the highest standards of quality efficiency and food safety.

Youll partner closely with our R&D and Supply teams to deliver projects optimise processes and support new technology introductions turning ideas into reality for pets across the region.

What Youll Be Doing

Collaborate with R&D and Supply teams to validate new and improved manufacturing processes.
Lead process development and improvement projects that drive efficiency reduce waste and enhance capability.
Partner across functions to manage handovers when introducing new suppliers standards or processes.
Lead or support problem-solving initiatives to overcome technical challenges and deliver cost savings.
Share knowledge across the R&D team and support ongoing learning optimisation and innovation.

What Youll Bring

Degree in Food Science Engineering Chemistry or a related discipline.
Up to 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment ideally within Quality Engineering or Product Development.
A solid understanding of food processing and packaging technologies.
A proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A team player who thrives on collaboration curiosity and continuous improvement.
