Job Summary

Reporting into the Head of Payroll this vital role offers stability and a chance to contribute directly to the financial well-being and satisfaction of our valued employees across all TWG brands.  Youll play a key role in ensuring service excellence through accurate timely and compliant payroll processing for our store network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly and fortnightly payrolls ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and NZ legislation.
  • Take full ownership of payroll for a designated region acting as the key contact for payroll-related matters in that area.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records including prompt processing of hires terminations and changes with a focus on data integrity.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance payroll efficiency and employee experience.
  • Stay updated on payroll-related legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications :

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing ideally in high volume environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of ACC processes.
  • Familiarity with PAYE KiwiSaver student loans and other NZ payroll deductions.
  • Experience with myIR and tax filing systems.
  • Solid understanding of New Zealand employment legislation (e.g. Holidays Act Parental Leave Act).
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership while contributing positively as a team player.
  • Adaptable proactive and open to change in dynamic environment.
  • A continuous learning mindset with a focus on accuracy and system integrity.
  • Experience with PayGlobal is a plus but not essential.
