This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the evolution and expansion of Modernas ServiceNow ecosystem. As ServiceNow Development Engineer youll serve as a subject matter expert across ServiceNow capabilities from ITSM to HRSD and lead efforts that directly improve digital experiences and internal business processes. With a focus on automation optimization and digital transformation youll help drive efficiency across the enterprise and scale the ServiceNow platform to meet the growing needs of Modernas global operations. Working in close collaboration with agile teams product owners and development managers your technical contributions will ensure Modernas ServiceNow platform delivers maximum value. This is a Warsaw-based individual contributor role embedded within a high-performing digital organization that values innovation agility and bold execution.

Heres What Youll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Drive end-to-end solutions development on the ServiceNow platform applying expert knowledge to maximize platform value.

• Lead development and core configuration efforts for key modules including ITSM ITOM ITAM HRSD and Performance Analytics (PA).

• Design and script Business Rules UI Policies UI Actions Client Scripts and Access Control Lists (ACLs) including advanced customizations across Service Portal.

• Develop and maintain system integrations using REST SOAP MID Servers and related technologies.

• Participate in agile ceremonies proactively updating development progress and collaborating cross-functionally with teams.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Partner with class owners to define and refine CI discovery identification and reconciliation strategies.

• Provide technical mentorship and conduct peer code reviews to reinforce platform and coding standards.

• Support requirements workshops with product owners and development managers translating needs into Flow Designer configurations.

• Recommend optimal solutions balancing configuration vs. customization to align with platform scalability.

• Resolve production incidents and coordinate application/platform upgrades leveraging the app store and update sets for deployment.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technology or scientific fieldOR5 years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree

• 6 years of expertise developing on the ServiceNow platform in 2 or more capabilities (ITSM ITOM ITAM HRSD and PA.)

• 1 or more active ServiceNow certifications (Certified System Administrator ITSM App Specialist)

• 3 years of experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through REST SOAP MID-servers or other relevant technologies

• 3 years of experience with HTML5 JAVA JavaScript jQuery CSS

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge of all aspects of ServiceNow scripting including Business Rules Client Scripts UI Builder Scripted REST APIs and Script Includes

• Experience with discovery and CMDB including an understanding of MID server architecture probes and sensors and CMDB identification and reconciliation.

• Experience communicating with application users to understand and collect their requirements and requests

• Educational or job-related experiencedocumenting technical systems and user workflows

• Experience working in life sciences pharma/biotech or high-tech industries with a preference for experience in one or more of eCommerce data/machine learning platforms or cloud infrastructure

• Experience in a regulated environment

• Experience working in a matrixed organization
