This position will report to the Manager Professional Practitioner and works with the clinical services manager.
Accountabilities:
- Carry out assigned tasks under the direction of the physiotherapists and occupational therapists and provide a variety of patient support services
- Administrative tasks stocking supplies equipment inventory and cleaning/maintenance and other tasks as assigned
- Work with the patients/families and team to actively help rehabilitate each patient to achieve his/her maximum functional level through planned therapeutic programs
- Participate in patient care team meetings discipline-specific meetings special projects as assigned and supervision of students
Qualifications :
- Two year Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant certification from a recognized Canadian community college (required to have dual training as an occupational therapy assistant/physiotherapy assistant)
- Preference will be given to candidates with two years recent clinical experience in adult physical medicine including rehab and geriatrics
- Ability to speak read and write the English language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
- Physical ability to do job duties as assigned; demonstrated knowledge of body mechanics to prevent musculoskeletal injuries
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
- Proven attendance and work record
- May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites
- Must demonstrate Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $33.44 per hour
Maximum: $36.18 per hour
