As an Ambulatory Nurse you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in an outpatient setting. - Assess patients health conditions and provide appropriate nursing care in an ambulatory setting
- Administer medications treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance disease prevention and post-treatment care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Assist with outpatient procedures and treatments as needed
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on medical needs
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Qualifications :
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory care nursing
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of outpatient procedures and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required
- Knowledge of ambulatory care practices procedures and healthcare regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in ambulatory nursing
